Defence
Appearance
Defence is subtracted from the damage roll of every normal attack and weapon skill that hits the character, before Extra Attack, criticals and the other multipliers (Damage calculation). It does nothing against magic.
Where it comes from
- No stat gives Defence: it comes from equipment and effects only.
- Armour, gloves, boots, arm and leg pieces and some necklaces.
- Armour upgrades (+3 to +27) and Blackmoon gems in the other sockets of armour or a shield (+1, +2 or +3), see Gems.
- Raised by Psalm of Bless, Bless, Courage, Blessed Armor, Safeguard, Status Relief and Defense Tonic; lowered by Lysis, Slight Attack and Weapon-Strike (with an axe), Weaken and Poison. See Status effects.
