Help Kurt find the Valuable Material

Story

I'm currently studying black magic. Many of the Valuable materials I brought from the merchant are too expensive. I'm not a great Mage but I'd like to do this experiment. I've noticed that one person is well-known in Magic skill. Can you help me look for him?

Steps

Phase 1

Listen to Kurt's advice

As soon as you accept the quest:
- “Thanks. Bring back the [Shell Maggot] corpse. They might be difficult to find. I think this rumour is fake. Go to First Rest's Northwest and find [Newman] to find out the truth from him.”

Phase 2

Meet [Newman] at Aldia Port's Northwest First Rest Camp.

Talk to Newman — South Coast, near The First Rest (1933, 986).
- Then:
  - “Hmmm..I heard someone was looking for [Shell Maggots]. I feel pity for Karte. I know that his wife suddenly disappeared. No matter how I need to tell you where the Shell Maggot is located.. Oh yes? During the last few days I started to learn about the curse at the Southwest camp and I found the Shell Maggot in that area. Although I'm not sure but it looks like them. Check the map indicator. Kill 10 of them to verify. Just look around that area. Just try your luck.”

Phase 3

Kill 10 Risen-cadavers and bring back their remains.

Kill 10 × Risen Cadaver (level 12).
- After the last kill:
  - “I don't need any of the [Shell Maggot] that you killed.”

Phase 4

Let First Rest Newman know where the [Shell Maggot]s are.

Talk to Newman — South Coast, near The First Rest (1933, 986).
- Then:
  - “After killing 10 [Shell Maggot] here I still cant get the drops from them. Perhaps these are the wrong monsters. Let Karte and Newman know about this.”

Phase 5

Find the Aldia Port's Kurt

Talk to Kurt — South Coast, near Aldia Port (2782, 575).
- Then:
  - “Oh I see.. I have a feeling that Newman will send me some news...... Thank you for your help.. This is your reward. If you have any news about the [Shell Maggot] please tell me.”
  - Reward: 11,800 experience and 3,500 gold.
  - The quest is complete.
