== Upgrading ==
* An upgrade takes the item, the stones the level needs and gold: the item's maximum durability × its price / 200. The stones and the gold are spent whatever the outcome.
* On success the item gains a level and its price grows by 10%. On reaching an even level it also gains a [[Gems|socket]]; helmets, head armour, rings and necklaces gain one on every level.
* On failure the item goes back to level 0: it loses its upgrades, its gems and the sockets the upgrades added.
* From level 6 an upgrade can also break the item, which becomes a piece of Iron.
* Helmets, head armour, rings and necklaces stop at level 5; other items at level 9.

Chance of success with each stone (a dash: the stone does not work at that level):

{| class="wikitable"

An upgrade succeeds with the chance shown, breaks the item with the break chance, and fails otherwise.
